V. The Quarter Mark

With the passing of 125 laps today I’m now one-quarter of the way through the walking challenge. The diversity of animal life in such a remote and small area never ceases to amaze me. Essentially the island is just a dot in the ocean, yet it’s teeming with all kinds of life.

Green sea turtle

Learning to fly

Hermit crab walking

Brown booby birds

Crabs on the rocks

Brown noddy

Iridescence

The routine of the days may be similar but the scenery is always changing and it is a real privilege to be sharing the space with such a variety of wildlife.
